Did B.o.B. S.O.?

B.o.B. has been getting a lot of attention lately and those who just follow the main stream may not realize how long this guy has been making quality music.  Some are saying the music isn’t so much “quality” anymore but just a sign of B.o.B. selling out.  The blog CocainBlunts.com said, “The Adventures Of B.O.B. isn’t simply a sell out record. It might be the most selling outest sell out rap album to ever sell out. It’s not just pop rap. It’s unabashed pop music that happens to have rapping on the verses. It’s pure Disney Radio sh-t, Now That’s What I Call Music music.”

Any time an artist in any genre gets on the charts fans everywhere start yelling “sell out.”  I’m not sure you can really blame artists who release more pop sounding tracks after years of going unnoticed.  I haven’t heard B.o.B.’s album yet, but I’d like to for the simple fact of comparing the tracks to see if all of them our “sell out” style or if a few stay true to his earlier mixedtapes.  Thoughts?

Let’s compare a B.o.B. track of years passed with a recent charter. Here’s “Haterz Everywhere” from his 2008 mixtape Hi! My Name is BoB vs “Airplanes” ft. Hayley Williams and Eminem from The Adventures of Bobby Ray.
