Algebra Hip-Hop

A teacher, LaMar Queen, out in LA teaches  his students algebra by rapping.  He says it’s a good way to make it fun, help them remember algebra and improve grades.  It all started when he began teaching three years ago and the students said his class was boring.  They also said he looked like Kanye and asked him to rap.  Apparently, Queen has been rapping since 7th grade and was able to rise to the challenge.  His first song was “Slope Intercept.”  While you may not have heard his songs, they’re gaining attention.  In April he won a national award from Get Schooled.
