BET Awards 2010 Wrap Up

The BET Awards were last night and quite the eventful, well, event. Here’s a look at my predictions and the actual winners (predictions italicized, winners bold). I went one for four:

Other winners include Young Money for Best Group, Beyonce and Lady Gaga for Video of the Year, Mo’Nique for Best Actress, Idris Elba for Best Actor, Precious for Best Movie, a pregnant Alicia Keys for Best Female R&B Artist and Trey Songz for best Male R&B Artist.

The most emotional parts of the show were the honoring of Prince and the tribute, performed by Chris Brown, to Michael Jackson. After last year’s Ne-Yo and Jamie Foxx tribute to Michael, the loudest response from viewers seemed to be it should have been Chris Brown. Well they got it and regardless of my feelings about the “man,” he is an excellent performer. This probably helped increase his fan base a bit. Here’s some clips:
